"Up for sale is a handmade ceramic jar with a large scultpted flower on top. I love making lidded jars because they are a great canvas for decorating with flowers. On this jar, the flower looks sculpted to the top. This jar was wheel thrown--the base and the lid were thrown separately and then trimmed and carved. Then I sculpted the flower to the top. After it was bisque fired, I used a amber brown celadon that pools and darkens in the carved areas, which I love. I used yellow for the flo
