Olives collected close to the birthplace of Leonardi da Vinci. At the south side of Montalbano we have approx. 100 olive trees from which we get an exquisite olive oil. This i one of the main reasons why we love to have a house in Tuscany :-)

We bring all the olives to our local mill. Out of 100 kilos of olives we normally get 10-18 kilos of first cold pressed olive oil.

At the oil mill the olives are being washed and dirt i removed from the olives before the mechanical process of extracting the oil starts.

The new oil is so green - the most lovely color and smell as it drops out from the pipe. At this point we can hardly wait to taste this years olive oil.
