Cuenca's unique hanging houses were constructed on the edge of a canyon's cliff back in 14th Century medieval times. The city of Cuenca is located to the east of Madrid, Spain. A two hour buss ride from Madrid the city offers modern and medieval urban realities. The old city is located up on the edge of the cliff of a deep canyon. Very interesting for its geology as well as medieval old "hanging" houses.

Por otra parte, tuvo la función de una residencia lujosa, acorde con sus ansias de poder y la influencia del marquesado de Villena
