"The couple came out to greet us, with beaming faces, and open arms of welcome...and immediately our hearts were warmed at the sight, for we knew that for the time being, we had found ourselves at home."

Needlebound / nalbound sweater with braid effect(s), worn/made by Per Runberg [caps from: https://youtu.be/NqpzoeVnyWo ]. Made 15 years ago, at airport with plastic coffee spoon and lots of wonderful yarn. Probably 3 thumbloops + picked up 2 straight onto the needle, crossed loose yarn end for braid effect, and in parallel ie right and left side bindning. Please see link for braid effect how-to discussion in Swedish in Nålbindning facebook group!
Socks - Wikiwood
Viking Socks The Vikings made lovely socks using nalbinding, a technique similar in some ways to knitting or crochet. Nice archaeological examples of nalbound socks have been found, for example at Coppergate in York (shown on the left). For instructions on how make nalbound socks, please see the info and links on the nalbinding page.
