Yoga for pelvic floor prioritizes all the key areas that can impact pelvic floor dysfunction (pelvic mobility, thoracic mobility, diaphragm expansion) + helps tap into our parasympathetic nervous system 👉🏻 this can impact our resting tension in our body (and ahem pelvic floor) so specific stretches aside, our breathing works double time to do this! Fun fact: side body breathing into the lower back and waist is super important for your pelvic floor, here’s why: we have blood vessels and nerves that course through that area from the back into the front of the abdominal wall and into the pelvis- this means restrictions in that tissue can compress in those vessels and nerves and create issues.
