24 Heures du Mans, 11-12 June 1955. The vintage original poster by Geo Ham features the Mulsanne hump at the end of the Les Hunaudieres straight. The 1955 edition of the 24 Heures du Mans is most noted for the horrendous accident with Pierre Levegh's Mercedes. The race was won by Mike Hawthorn and Ivor Bueb in their Jaguar D-Type (s/n XKD505) with a total of 307 laps to their name.
