Yesterday building a course, especially for online delivery, required more people. This took more time and resources.

A few years ago it took a team and a lot more resources to build courses. Today, you are that team.  Technology has made it easier but it also forces you to do more and be expert at more.

The learner today is not as dependent on what we have to share. They have options. How can we contribute to the options they have?

Our challenge: we had the luxury of controlling information and access to it. We could "define" the learning. That's not true today.   People have access to more information, can get what they need when they need it, and can connect directly with experts.

Technology may force you to wear many hats, but it empowers you in new ways, too. Quick access to all sorts of expertise and low-cost media assets.
