The Ehrman 2021 Catalogue Our new catalogue is out with 35 new designs. It is two years since our last one and it has been a horrible time for everyone. Over the months of lockdowns our designers have produced a joyous new collection to lift the spirits and they are all available here.

Yuzen Pines
A magnificent design taken from the hem of a C19th kimono in the Victoria and Albert Museum. On the original garment the cloud areas were created using gold leaf and the trees were created using a technique called Yuzen which involves drawing on the cloth with rice paste to prevent dye from penetrating. Elizabethan Garden
The Elizabethan world has always fascinated Margaret and she takes the formal structures of the knot garden as the starting point for this design. In these gardens geometric patterns inspired by rugs and tapestries are woven with herbs, flowers and shrubs in a square frame. This style originated in France in the 1400s and was popular in England during the Elizabethan era in the latter half of the 1500s.
