Alberto Vargas - “Military Secrets” - September 1943 Esquire Magazine Varga Girl Gatefold - “Now, no one can peak at the Book of the Weak - In wartime I have to be cagey, that boy in the Army would certainly bar me if he knew I dated a J.G. That boy in the Navy whose hair is so wavy would tear it right out of the roots if he found out that I and the Leatherneck guy were now in romantic cahoots!”
