Twin-tailed Mermaids

I found it strange with the twin-tailed mermaid on Lem Church, Denmark. But it seems, that two-tailed mermaids, sirens, the male god Triton, Scylla, Baubo and even more are all over ancient Europe! An originally headen symbolism re-used directly on churches - and most recently as logo of a chain of coffee shops!
