Dublin Castle dates from tje 13th century and was the headquarters of the British administration in Ireland until Irish independence in 1922, when it was transferred to the new Irish state. Brian Boru was a 10th/11th century Irish king best (and founder of the O'Brien family, which given that he was reputed to have had several hundred children is not exactly an exclusive club).

The Battle of Clontarf occurred on the 23rd of April, 1014, at Clontarf, near Dublin, Ireland. It pitted an army led by Brian Boru, High King of Ireland, against a Norse-Irish alliance. It lasted from sunrise to sunset and ended in a rout of the Viking and Leinster armies.
