In this scene Jafar has already taken over the palace and made Jasmine his wife and slave and of course made the Genie do everything he demanded for. Jasmine was trying to get Jafar’s attention so that Aladdin could grab the lamp and become Genie’s master again and make sure that Jafar becomes powerless.
