This is the great oceanic manta ray! They can have a “wingspan” up to 30 feet wide, and weigh up to 3600 pounds! Unfortunately, as of December 2023 they’re the first species of manta ray to be listed as endangered. They eat mostly phytoplankton, krill, and other zooplankton, pictured here.
