With the silhouette of a princess ball gown, this dress clearly resembles the night sky. The layers of tulle in the skirt create clouds of dark blue, gray, and white, and hand embroidered beneath the surface are hundreds of swirling stars that move around around to form different constellations. The mask is not a mask at all, but face paint to create the full moon. Over the course of the evening the moon wanes, until it completely disappears as a new moon at the end of the night, revealing the person underneath.
