Galena Berkompas • Urban Flower Farm • Education on Instagram: "Perennial Phlox is one of my favorite perennials and it delivers so much value year after year! This particular variety is David’s Phlox and it’s one of my favorites!

Also called Garden Phlox, it’s hardy in zones 4-8 and you can plant it in a variety of colors. It grows 3-4 ft tall, and if you cut from it, it will give you another set of blooms later in the year.

It’s grown from a root (think like a peony but much smaller) and each year it produces more and more stems. I’m on my 3rd season with mine and they’re producing over 20 stems (the reel shows 12 blooming stems so you can imagine the scale!)

Extra benefit? They smell amazing and the pollinators love them!

I love the annual varieties of phlox too, but if you need Border Flowers, Flower Growing, Garden Border, Flowers Gardening, Smell Amazing, Garden Borders, Flower Farm, Growing Flowers, Yard Ideas
