So here we go! This is shown on stockinette stitch, so I am picking up 3 stitches for each 4 rows in both methods. To pick up stitches, turn to the right side of your work and place the right leg of each edge stitch on your needle, 3 stitches for each 4 rows. I prefer to use a smaller needle than my working needle to keep any stretching to a minimum.
