Red yellow green behavior cards

Card Flip System - using green/yellow/red cards as a visible reminder to students concerning their behavior. Flipping cards is supposed to avoid wasting time scolding students; the cards are a clear signal to them when their behavior is not acceptable. Might work with middle school students; probably too juvenile for high school.

Red yellow green behavior charts can be used at home or at school as an effective behavior modification tool. Print yours here!

Behavior chart Start the day on green. Acting up they move down to yellow, if they do as they are told they move back up to green. If they keep doing something naughty they move to red. I usually have them clean up the toy room or help around the house they also have to apologize to earn back the green spot. If they end the day on green they get a small reward like a sticker.

Similar to soccer, use these colour coded cards with your students to recognize good behaviour and deter bad behaviour. Use the green cards to recognize when a student has done something kind or helpful for someone. Use the yellow card as a warning for undesirable behaviour and the red card to provide appropriate consequences for the behaviour.
