The first me came from the sky and were off spring of Thunderbird. Thunderbird laid eggs on Saddle Mountain (in modern Oregon), and an giantess rolled five of those eggs down the mountain. Five men, each a different color, were born from those five eggs. So then they were in the valley. When the men were in the valley, they found women there and pulled them out of the rocks. That was the beginning of the Chinook people. There was another world before this one, but they did not behave. So Creator sent wind and rain and cracked the earth until only Kangi the Crow was left. Kangi wanted a new world so Creator sent a Loon, a Otter, and a Beaver to retrieve mud from under the flood waters. Only Turtle finally did this. Creator shaped the mud and laid it out just big enough for Kangi and himself. He then used 2 eagle feathers to spread the earth wide. He then cried and created the water. Humans and animals came later Native American Beauty

At first there was water. All animals lived above it until one day Dayuni’si volunteered to explore the water. He went everywhere and could find no earth so he dived but all he found was mud. This expanded into the earth we know. Then an animal attached the earth to the sky with 4 strings. The land was too soft and so they sent Buzzard to go prepare it but he grew tired and his wings hit the earth and created the Cherokee mountains and valleys. The animals then decided to create a sun.(Cherokee) Native American Cherokee, Cherokee Indians, Cherokee Chief

When the waters forced the ground up from the deep Raven stabbed it with his beak and fixed it into place. This first land was just big enough for a single house and a by a single family: a man, his wife and their son, Raven. The father had a bladder hanging over his bed. After much pleading by Raven the father allowed the boy to play with it. While playing Raven damaged the bladder and light appeared.
