Archaeologists have spent all summer excavating a small sample of what has turned out to be a mass grave containing skeletal remains from more than 1,000 warriors, who were killed in battle some 2,000 years ago... The site is located in the Alken Enge wetlands near Lake Mossø on the Jutland peninsula.

A new, fascinating cookbook has been published in Denmark by three innovative archaeologists.  The book contains recipes and ingredients that range from the prehistoric Stone Age to the Middle Ages, and is based entirely on archaeological research.  It's available in English, but has not yet found distribution in the States.  But maybe if enough of us spread the word, we can change that!
