I designed this toddler’s fisherman’s sweater to use traditional stitch patterns from Orkney, Scotland (based on Elizabeth Lovick’s book Patterns for North Ronaldsay Yarn) and yarn from a local primitive breed sheep on the island of Papa Westray (“Holmie ‘oo’“), which is only available on the island.
