paper-mache star
This little sculpture is made from a paper-clay base which you can make with shredded paper, white glue, and water. I created a spiral coil with the wire hook and slowly screwed it all the way through the body of the star, so the hook would not come out or put too much pressure on the star's limbs. I would advise waiting for the sculpture to be 1/3 dry before putting a hook through the body so it keeps shape better, but is still malleable. I would also advise waiting for the sculpture to be entirely dry before coating it in paper strips or painting it.
