The pine tree is a strong symbol of motivation, strength, endurance, adaptability, and capability. This evergreen tree stands firm through any weather and has adapted and learned to store extra energy throughout the year so that it may survive through the Winter months. Placing twigs from pine or fruit from the tree on our altar helps remind us that we still grow through rest. It reminds us that, as the days grow darker, we don’t need to follow suit.
