The portulacaria afra (dwarf jade, elephant jade, spekboom) is native to South Africa where they are part of the African elephant's diet. So it was only fitting to add an elephant to the dwarf jade bonsai forests. Notice the resemblance of the plant's bark to the skin of the elephant. Just like in the wild.
