So excited and heartbroken all at once! Read today that Billy Boyd, who played Pippin in LOTR, is going to sing "The Last Goodbye" as the final credits song for the Middle-Earth movies when the final Hobbit movie is released this December. He co-wrote the song with Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens. Of course we all know the song he sang in ROTK - he has a lovely voice! And what better way to bring this movie series full circle than to have a member of the original Fellowship sing us goodbye. <3
Soo, Now I have a Tumblr...
"We have sworn, and not lightly. This oath we will keep. We are threatened with many evils, and treason not least; but one thing is not said: that we shall suffer from cowardice, from cravens or the fear of cravens. Therefore I say that we will go on, and this doom I add: the deeds that we shall do shall be the matter of song until the last days of Arda." - Fëanor, Of the Flight of the Noldor - The Silmarillion
