Do you stifle the urge to part with lovely leftover fabrics, but unsure of how to use them? Many of us save cut-offs and tid-bits, tossing them into containers to be consumed on a rainy day. Or, perhaps you clip leftover fabrics into strips which seldom see the light of day.
Using a steam setting on your iron, gently press out any wrinkles in the cloth. Be aware of the center fold area in fabrics – textiles are often folded in half and wrapped around a cardboard core by the manufacturer. This makes it easier to ship from the manufacturer to the retail seller.

To make these fun diy cactus pincushions all you need are the pattern pieces for the cactus you wish to make, or for all three, small amounts of felt, polyester fiberfill, a small pot and some craft glue. Additional optional supplies include small river rocks and pom poms. Ashley first shows you how to cut out all of the pattern pieces and explains that each different pincushion has different numbers of pattern pieces.
