Song Il Kuk is a South Korean actor who is known for his roles in The Art of Seduction, Red Eye, Emperor of the Sea, Kingdom of the Winds and Jumong, among many others. Not only did he study Performing Arts at Cheongju University, but he has a prestigious family line; his mother, Kim Eul Dong, is an actress, as well as a woman of congress. Song Il Kuk enjoys physically challenging roles, often employing his refined skills in horsemanship and assorted martial arts. He is a skilled sword fighter, so he excels in fight scenes. A Renaissance man of sorts, he is also an accomplished sketch artist, and he has worked as both a runway and photographic model. In 2008, he was recruited for the Kolon Christmas Photo Shoot. Song Il Kuk married Jeong Seung Yeon in 2008. 2009 was an eventful year, with the Hawaiian dedication of March 21 as Song Il Kuk Day.
