José Leite de Vasconcelos (1858-1941)was considered the "father of Portuguese archeology." Having been licensed in the Medical-Surgical School, has exercised only one year, turning what definitely always interested him: the study of the "Portuguese Man", especially in its popular part, leaving a vast work that addressed: philology and Linguistics, Literature, Ethnography, Numismatics and Archaeology.
