They're still useable and may be perfect for some but they do have flaws, which is why they're significantly discounted. Do not buy these and expect perfection. These are not candle ready bowls. If you plan to use these for candles, you will likely need to seal them or do some type of repair. Do look closely at all pictures and decide if they will work for you. I cannot answer a lot of questions about these bowls, as they are already boxed for shipping. Some of the reasons they get subpar'd are as follows but not limited to is because of size, shape, knots, knot holes, repairs with or without nails, holes, cracks, unlevel, chips, scratches or even chunks missing. Subpar bowls can be great craft bowl but are not recommended for candle use. The "*" in the title means you will get the exact ones in the picture. So look at the pictures closely. ABOUT OUR BOWLS: These beautiful bowls are not machine made. They are all hand hewed from one solid piece of wood. These rustic bowls are newly made to look old. They are perfectly imperfect. Please do not expect machine made perfection. Every bowl is different. Meaning no two are the same but they are very similar. When you carve out a bowl from a large tree, occasionally you end up with chips, cracks, knot holes, scratches, knife marks and or saw marks but this is all part of the character of the bowl. Some also do not sit perfectly flat or are not perfectly level. Some are not perfectly shaped. These are not defects. These imperfections are what give the piece character. The pictures we show are the best representation of the bowl. Paint colors and stains may appear a little different due to lighting when this picture was taken or because of the computer monitor. If you're not in a rush, I'd be glad to send a picture of different options. RETURNS: With any online order there is a third party service (shipping service) between the buyer and seller.
