Vintage Handcrafted Islamic calligraphy signet/seal ring. Inlaid stones. Origin: Turkey This is a massive ring. I was told a ring like this was used for making your seal signature in wax. It is a statement ring 4 1/2 cm wide (1 3/4") x 4 cm high (1 1/2"). There is a calligraphy inscription on the main stone which appears to be carnelian. The metal looks like alpaca, a silver-like amalgamation. This is then inlaid with different color stones of different shapes. Lots of work here. 71 grams weight (2 1/2 oz.) Although it is massive, it will fit most because it can be worn on any finger.
