Wedding dress, E.E. Holland, Chicago, 1887. Off-white silk faille with pearl beads and embroidered net. Fitted bodice with standing collar; front has net insert from neck to waist. Bands of pearl beading are at collar, chest, bust, and hip. 3/4 sleeves with net insets at shoulders; pearl bead and lace trim at cuff. Self-fabric skirt has embroidered net overlayer; floor-length; long train of self-fabric with white lace dust ruffle. Chicago History Museum
Dress with 2 bodices, Worth, ca. 1883-88. Velvet flowers in olive green on light green-blue silk ground. Bodice 1, shown in photos, has square yoke, front & back of lace heavily beaded w/pearls & lined w/organdy. Bodice 2, not shown, of same fabric but without lace trim, narrow stand collar, blue & red satin bows & pleated trim on front.
