Louis Poulsen created icons such as the PH Artichoke and PH5 with Poul Henningsen.

VL RING CROWN 3 PENDANT LAMP By Louis Poulsen
The VL Ring Crown family derives from a lamp designed by architect Vilhelm Lauritzen for the Danish Broadcasting House in Copenhagen in the 1940s. True to its original materials and design, the VL Ring Crown was reintroduced in 2019. It’s made of untreated, polished brass and with three, five or seven shades in glossy white, triple-layered, mouth-blown opal glass. It was complemented by the wall lamps and pendant originally installed in the Danish Broadcasting House.

WOHLERT PENDANT LAMP By Louis Poulsen
Vilhelm Wohlert and the CEO of Louis Poulsen before WWII - Jens Kaastrup-Olsen - had a fruitful collaboration. Kaastrup-Olsen asked Wohlert to design a pendant in three different sizes accordingly suited for different room sizes. Furthermore Wohlert was presented with the demand for easy maintenance and change of light source.

PH 3½-2½ FLOOR LAMP By Louis Poulsen
The PH 3½-2½ glass floor is a member of the PH 3-shade family, and the principle behind the PH 3-shade fixture was made in the winter of 1925-26 for a large exhibition hall in Copenhagen, Denmark called "Forum". This is what PH said about his new fixture in 1926: "The real innovation in the PH-fixture is that it produces lighting which is both glare free and economical. It is easy enough to create glare-free light, indirect and strongly shaded, if a portion of the light is allowed to be wasted.

VL45 RADIOHUS PENDANT LAMP By Louis Poulsen
In 2016 the Radiohus Pendant made a comeback under the name of VL45 Radiohus Pendant. It was originally designed in the 1940s by Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen in partnership with Louis Poulsen for the construction of the Radiohuset building (the Danish broadcasting house) in Copenhagen. The pendant features the original design, with a brass suspension as well as a shade of three layers of mouth-blown glass.

The fixture is designed based on the principle of a reflective three-shade system, which directs the majority of the light downwards. The shades are made of mouth-blown opal three-layer glass, which is glossy on top and sandblasted matt on the underside, giving a soft and diffuse light distribution.

The wall lamp emits light directed primarily downwards. The opal glass provides a comfortable and uniform illumination of the area around the fixture. The VL Ring Crown family derives from a lamp designed by architect Vilhelm Lauritzen for the Danish Broadcasting House in Copenhagen in the 1940s. The wall lamp and pendant versions, with the characteristic organic form, were put to good use at the Danish Broadcasting House.

First shown as a prototype in 1928 at the Danish Museum of Decorative Art, now Designmuseum Danmark, the Septima pendant is defined by its sophisticated, seven-shade glass crown. Based on Henningsen's iconic three-shade system, the additional shades create a sculptural piece that embodies both strength and delicacy. The structure has been finished with a mix of clear and frosted glass, allowing the shades to spread the light in a more diffused manner.

PH SNOWBALL PENDANT LAMP By Louis Poulsen
The PH Snowball is considered a smaller version of the PH Louvre made for the Adventist Church in Skodsborg, Denmark. But unlike the PH Louvre, the number of shades is reduced to just eight mounted on three legs - and the diameter of the fixture is also reduced due to the fact that it was intended for lower ceiling spaces.

To mark Poul Henningsen's 120th birthday on 9 September, Louis Poulsen is launching the new PH 3½-3 pendant. The PH 3½-3 pendant is based on Poul Henningsen's original drawings from the late 1920s and early 1930s, featuring his renowned three-shade system. The pendant has metal shades, available in green, yellow, red and white. The fixture housing is silk mat brown and made of copper. All colours are based on Poul Henningsen's colour universe. Like the designer, the fixtures are colourful!

NJP resembles the classic anglepoise lamp, but boasts smart new functions intended to make it easy to adjust for work or relaxation. The designer behind this new interpretation of the architect lamp is Oki Sato, owner and founder of nendo design studio in Japan. Oki Sato has built on the design of the NJP Table lamp and his principle of keeping things simple. In so doing, he has developed a new, developing a new bracket and a positioning module for the existing lamp.
