Hop aboard a tuk-tuk when in Bangkok and experience how drivers of these engine-powered rickshaws beat road congestion by zipping in and out of lanes and going head-on against traffic, while you sit back like a boss and grin smugly at vehicles stuck in the jam. ⠀ Except the smoke you're inhaling won't be from a cigar but from exhaust pipes of vehicles around you. What a ride! ;) ⠀ #KeepCalmAndJasTravel Bangkok, Thailand

Whenever I visit Bangkok, it's for shopping, traditional Thai massage, and Tom Yum Goong. For a city this rich in culture and religion, I'm ashamed to say that I've only visited their temples once - and that was 20 long years ago. On a recent trip, I found myself walking through Phra Nakhon district where some of Bangkok's notable temples are. And I was struck by the beauty of their facade and by how much I've been missing out in this city... #KeepCalmAndJasTravel

Night markets are pretty much an Asian institution, with vendors hawking local food, clothing and other bric-a-bracs from evening till late. And Bangkok's Talad Rod Fai Night Market takes it to a whole new kaleidoscopic level with its canopy of tents that puts the color in colorful. #KeepCalmAndJasTravel Bangkok, Thailand

A colorful morning at the floating market of Damnoen Saduak, where locals paddle and peddle along canals, selling food, fruits and vegetables to shoppers on boats and the banks. #KeepCalmAndJasTravel

Something about rooftop bars. The glimmering city lights below, champagne in the hand, the feeling like you're on top of the world. #KeepCalmAndJasTravel Skybar, Lebua State Tower, Bangkok, Thailand

This was - for centuries now, and still is - a way of life for riverside communities in Thailand. For her generation, the one before her, and who knows how many more before? And while tourism inadvertently makes a place less authentic at times, perhaps it also contributes to the preservation of heritage and cultures that may have otherwise been lost through the years, providing us with precious opportunities to relive the ways of a bygone era. #KeepCalmAndJasTravel Damnoen Saduak, Thailand

Due to the naturally fertile land and the constant supply of water from the canal, the vendors of Damnoen Saduak are able to grow their own produce in the area and bring them to sell at the floating market. So buy yourself some fresh fruits to snack on while you enjoy the ride through the canal! ⠀ #KeepCalmAndJasTravel
