DESIGN ICONS: ARNE JACOBSEN
This design is known as "The Egg" chair which was created in 1958. Also another one of his famous pieces. I really like this chair because of the design and the shape of it how it's curved. I would put this in a living room, it looks like a very cozy chair.
This is another one of his popular designs called the "Series 7" chair. This design came out in 1955. It is the worlds most copied chair to this day.
This is Arne Jacobsen born in 1902 and died in 1971. He was an Architect as well as a designer. He created prototypes for furniture, textiles, wallpapers, silverware etc. His most well known designs include: The Ant, Series 7, The Egg, and The Swan.
This is one of his well known creations called "The Ant" chair. This chair came out in 1952. This was the chair that helped him make a breakthrough into the design world and would be known in the history of furniture.
This piece is known as "The Ox" chair which was produced in 1966. I don't really like this one as much as the other chairs, I think it's because of how boxy it is. It feels more masculine to me and something found in an office.
I like this quote because he really enjoyed what he did and didn't find it as work. I would like it to feel the same for me when I begin working in my career. He was a really unique individual who liked to think out of the box which inspires me to get out of my comfort zone.
